We already know that some mods will be available on Xbox One, but Bethesda has also expressed interest in putting some on PS4. It makes me curious to see how consoles will fare. Past Bethesda games have been modded for years, adding in better graphics, new game modes, entirely new plot lines and untold riches of licensed characters and other generalized absurdity. Mods like this Star Wars thing are just the beginning: simple substitutions that add new items into the game. But Bethesda games have long lives, and if past titles are any indication, this thing is just getting started. The initial burst of excitement surrounding Fallout 4 is over: it had its first hugely successful month, and millions have already squeezed the wasteland for all its worth.
